Family Well-Being Program
The goal is to deliver prevention-focused and cultural support to promote healthy communities, support families and eliminate violence in families. Also, to reduce the need to bring Indigenous children and youth into the child welfare and youth justice systems and the improvement of the overall health and well-being of communities.
Crisis and Prevention
Beaverhouse First Nation Crisis Response Team is a group of committed individuals dedicated to assisting anyone in the community dealing with a crisis. The team is committed to providing emotional, mental, spiritual and physical wellbeing support to all members of Beaverhouse First Nation.

Diabetes Program
The Diabetes Program helps Indigenous people to manage their diabetes, prevent complications and promote good health and wellbeing.
Activities we provide:
- Support with diabetic materials and supplies, networking through programming and providing referrals to diabetic organizations.
- Diabetic foot care assistance.
- Healthy cooking activities.
Aboriginal Healthy Babies Healthy Children (AHBHC)
Aboriginal Healthy Babies, Healthy Children Program (AHBHC) is designed to ensure that all Aboriginal families and their children (prenatal to age six) who need assistance with physical, emotional, mental and social issues have access to effective, consistent early intervention services.

Child Prenatal Nutritional Program (CPNP)
CPNP is a community-based program that supports women through their pregnancy and the first 6 months of their baby’s life. The objective of the program is to help improve the health of pregnant women, new mothers and their babies, who face challenges that put their health at risk, such as: poverty, teen pregnancy, and social and geographic isolation.
Activities we provide:
- Nutrition counselling during pregnancy
- Prenatal vitamins supply
- Breastfeeding information and supply and referrals to other agencies/services in our community
- One-on-one and/or group support
Food Security
Food Security ensures access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food to meet the dietary needs for an active and healthy life.
Activities we provide:
- Promote gardening.
- Seed distribution.
- Workshops on gardening and healthy eating.
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)
Fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASDs) are a group of conditions that can occur in a person whose mother consumed alcohol during pregnancy.
Activities we provide:
- Counselling pregnant mothers and family members on risky alcohol consumption during pregnancy.
- Create awareness about later developmental outcomes of alcohol use during pregnancy.
Early Learning Program (ELP)
The program provides comprehensive experiences for Beaverhouse First Nation members and Indigenous children up to 4 years of age and their families, with primary emphasis on preschoolers, 3-4 years of age.
Activities we provide:
- Drop-off 9:00 am and Pick-up 11:30 am
- Healthy snacks provided daily
- Location: 93 Wilson Ave.
- Indoor and outdoor play-based learning environments
- Cultural activities and learning
